Pricing & Tiers
The buy price
Buyers pay a single, fixed USD price per SETH, set on-chain in each
PaymentCollector (8-decimal USD, owner-editable, the same for every buyer — no
per-buyer tiers). Native payments are converted to USD via Chainlink; stablecoins
are valued at $1.
The current advertised buy price is published by the API at
/api/market as buyPriceUsd. Treat that
endpoint as the source of truth — the price can be re-tuned by the owner via
setBuyPriceUsd() on the collector.
The buy price is a live, owner-configured value. This documentation quotes
it for illustration; always read the current figure from /api/market (or the
collector’s buyPriceUsd()), not from a hardcoded number here.
Seller tiers
Sellers don’t earn the full buy price — they earn a percentage of it, set by their tier. Tiers reward volume: the more SETH you’ve sold over your lifetime, the higher your tier, and the larger your share.
sellerPrice = buyPrice × (tierFractionBps / 10000)| # | Tier | Share of buy price |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Novice | 20% |
| 2 | Apprentice | 30% |
| 3 | Adept | 40% |
| 4 | Expert | 50% |
| 5 | Master | 60% |
| 6 | Elite | 70% |
| 7 | Champion | 80% |
| 8 | Legend | 90% |
| 9 | Apex | 100% |
Advancing a tier
Your tier is derived from lifetime SETH sold. Each 10,000 SETH sold moves
you up one tier (tierIndex = min(floor(lifetimeSoldSeth / 10000), 8)), until you
reach Apex (100% of the buy price).
- A single buy can push you across a tier boundary. When that happens the sale is split into one segment per tier it spans and each segment is priced at that tier — you’re never under- or over-paid by a blended average.
- Prices are captured at sale time. The USD you’re owed is locked in when the sale happens, so later price or tier changes don’t reprice earlier sales.
- The owner can grant a starting tier override to specific sellers (an on-chain, event-only setting the balance API applies).
